T’is the Day after Christmas and all through the house
creatures are snoring including my spouse.
Stockings and wrappings are strewn about the room
as the cleaning won’t commence any time soon.
We play with our toys, eat leftover cookies and ham
and stay in our jammies just because we can.
Eleven months from now we will begin the next crazy,
that holiday frenzy that leaves one day of lazy.
So, feet up! You’ve earned your day of rest.
